Scalability in a disaster means a more total response

Disasters – natural, public health, or criminal – happen, and seconds count when mounting a response. In large-scale events, multiple departments within a jurisdiction need to coordinate efforts and share data to ensure police, fire, EMS, EMA, and communications agencies can act in concert to improve outcomes.

A jurisdiction’s agility and ability to facilitate multi-agency collaboration are key to the safety of all involved and the efficiency of the total crisis response. Dispatchers, first responders, and decision-makers in the emergency management center must, be connected to perform as one.

Watch as members of the El Paso County 911 District’s dispatch leadership team reflect on the August 2019 mass shooting that claimed more than 20 lives and the important role Hexagon’s technology and support played in their response.
